1. Scope
This policy applies whenever a person uses WiFi Stream to host, join, list, select, display, transmit, synchronize, or independently play user-selected content. It forms part of the Terms & Conditions.
WiFi Stream does not provide a public feed, publisher upload library, persistent chat, user profile, follower system, or publisher cloud for videos. A Share files Host can nevertheless expose a temporary catalog of selected files to a limited group of Joiners, while Watch together exposes one Host-controlled video. All participants must follow these rules.
2. Rights, permission, and informed participation
Only Host content when all of the following are true:
- you own every selected item or have a valid license/permission to list and transmit it to every Joiner;
- you have any necessary consent from people identifiable in the content;
- the viewing context complies with copyright, privacy, publicity, contract, venue, and local law; and
- every visible file name and catalog entry is appropriate for the intended Joiners; and
- each Joiner knowingly agreed to participate and can safely leave.
Joiners must not record, capture, copy, retransmit, publicly perform, sell, or distribute a stream unless they independently have every required right and consent.
3. Prohibited content
Do not use WiFi Stream for content that:
- sexually exploits or endangers a child, depicts child sexual abuse, grooms a minor, or solicits sexual content from a minor;
- contains non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual extortion, voyeurism, or sexual content shared without every required consent;
- promotes terrorism, violent extremism, organized violent activity, trafficking, or instructions to cause serious harm;
- credibly threatens, harasses, stalks, bullies, degrades, or exposes private identifying information about another person;
- promotes hatred or violence against people based on protected characteristics;
- depicts or facilitates illegal abuse, exploitation, sale, or trafficking of people, animals, weapons, or regulated goods;
- infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, trade secret, or other rights;
- was obtained by bypassing DRM, paywalls, encryption, access controls, or territorial restrictions;
- contains malware, exploit code, fraudulent instructions, impersonation, phishing, or material intended to compromise a device/network; or
- is otherwise unlawful to possess, display, transmit, or receive in the relevant place or context.
4. Prohibited behavior
Do not:
- connect to a Host without permission, guess/capture a session token, or intercept another session;
- trick someone into joining, conceal the nature of a stream or shared catalog, or prevent a participant from leaving;
- use another person’s device model, IP address, or session details to identify, harass, track, or expose them;
- overload, scan, disrupt, or exploit a peer device, router, hotspot, ad service, or the app itself;
- use the app for commercial exhibition, surveillance, evidence destruction, or any regulated use without all required authorization; or
- encourage another person to violate this policy.
5. Session-level safety
- Use a trusted private Wi-Fi network or personal hotspot; the local media transport is not encrypted.
- Hosts should verify every connected device and end the session if an unknown device appears.
- Share files Hosts should review the complete catalog before starting; every intended Joiner can see its item metadata and independently request any listed file.
- Joiners should leave immediately if the Host, catalog, or content is unexpected.
- Do not share manual IP details, session URLs, tokens, or screenshots containing network information.
- Use device-level controls, network isolation, and physical access controls where appropriate.
The current app offers session exit/end controls. It does not currently include an account-level block list, in-app content report flow, automated moderation, upload scanning, or a publisher moderation dashboard.
6. Reporting illegal or abusive use
Report suspected violations to support email pending with the subject “WiFi Stream safety report.” Include only:
- the date/time and country or time zone;
- a short description of what happened;
- the app version and Android version;
- whether you were the Host, Joiner, or network owner; and
- a safe way to contact you for follow-up.
Rights holders may use the same contact with the subject “WiFi Stream rights report” and identify the protected work, the nature of the alleged use, their authority to act, and reliable contact information. The publisher may request a legally sufficient notice before acting.
7. Review and enforcement limits
Where reasonably possible, the publisher may review a report, request more information, warn a reporter about misuse of the process, update or withdraw the app, restrict support, preserve legally required records, or refer credible unlawful activity to appropriate authorities. Reports may be rejected if incomplete, abusive, fraudulent, or outside scope.
Because WiFi Stream has no app accounts, public content index, or publisher-controlled media server, the publisher ordinarily cannot identify a participant, inspect a private stream, remotely delete a video, ban a device account, or stop an active LAN session. Hosts and Joiners remain responsible for ending the session and using device/network controls.
8. Child safety
Adults must not use WiFi Stream to contact, groom, exploit, expose, or endanger minors. Parents and guardians should supervise use, verify the Host and all Joiners, and ensure the selected media is age-appropriate and lawfully shared.
9. Changes
This policy may change as product safety controls, applicable law, or Play requirements evolve. The last-updated date will be revised when changes are published.
